I had the idea of knitting a scarf for a friend, and having that friend knit a scarf for me. So it would be a wonderful scarf exchange of sorts. So dear Joanne, I have finished your scarf!! The second scarf I have ever knitted, and I am happy with how it turned out. Not as long as I would have hoped but I love the natural color and the cute little buttons. I hope you like it and I can't wait to see my scarf. Love you....
Dear Monica,
ReplyDeleteLet me start off by saying I adore my scarf-absolutely ADORE it:)
It is beautiful and one would never know it is only your second knitted scarf. I've knitted many and I can honestly say yours looks better than any I have ever made. I love the buttons they are adorable, the length, the color they scream my name:) Your labor of love will be worn close to my heart and keep me warm. Your idea of a scarf exchange is awesome- I cannot think of a better word! I'm looking forward to receiving it in the mail and wearing it-I don't care that it is Summer:) You are a sweetheart Monica, you truly are and as your friend of fifteen years I know that your heart is golden and shines.
I love you friend.
Yours is coming... :)
It is easy to say how we love new friends, and what we think of them, but words can never trace out all the fibers that knit us to the old.
